Chapter Fourteen

Enar hung his stethoscope around his neck and beamed a smile at Yitro. “Everything’s looking perfect across the board. All your lab work is within normal range, and so are your vitals. You’re doing great, Yitro.”

Yitro breathed out with relief. Not that he had expected Enar to come to any other conclusion. He felt good six weeks after giving birth, much better than he’d expected after reading too many horror stories about older omegas who needed months to recover. He could only be grateful that wasn’t him, though he knew damn well where the credit lay. He hadn’t been doing so peachy the first few days, but his mates had stepped up.

“Thank you. That’s all because of Duer and Fallon, who share the duties of taking care of Ainle. And Rhene and Erwan, of course.”

Enar put a hand on his shoulder. “I’m so glad to hear they’re shouldering the burden. No one wants to think of a baby as a burden, but these first few weeks are rough, and having people you can lean on makes a big difference.”

“It does.”

“Do you have any other questions?”

He did, but how on earth was he going to bring this up? Enar must’ve heard it a thousand times, but that didn’t mean Yitro wasn’t embarrassed to discuss it. It felt so private, especially in his circumstances.

“When can we…?”

“Have sex?”

Oh, thank god. Enar had read between the lines. “Yeah.”

“You’re cleared for all activities, including sex. Your scars are healing well and will fade even more over time, so there’s no need to wait for anything. Well, let me correct that. I don’t recommend being knotted in the first three months, as that may put too much pressure on your scars and cause pain, and the same will be true for double penetration, but other than that, you’re good.”

Knotting? DP? What kind of kinky sex life did Enar think they had? “Not sure if you realized, but I’m with a beta and another omega. There’s no knotting in my future.”

Enar shrugged. “People sometimes use inflatable knots or more fancy dildos that can swell up like a knot. And DP is more common than you’d think. I don’t judge, Yitro. People like what they like, and it’s all fine by me as long as it’s consensual. My job is to keep my patients safe and healthy, and other than that, I don’t give two fucks what they do in the privacy of their bedroom.”

“Or out of it,” Yitro said with a chuckle. “‘Cause from what I hear, the Hayes pack is known for its live porn shows.”

Enar grinned. “Once upon a time, yes. But with all the kids we have walking around now, we’ve had to become a lot more careful. Around the house, at least. The pool and the fields are still fair game.”

He said the last with a wink, and Yitro laughed. “Gotta take your fun where you can find it, right?”

“Exactly. And the whole pack benefits when we keep Lidon happy, trust me.” Enar sobered.
